Celtic Languages and Culture is a bachelor program at the University of Utrecht, and takes an accumulative 3 years to finish. Every academic year is divided into four blocks, and during every block you usually follow two courses. On this page you can find an overview of the subjects you take to obtain your degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first year you follow two mandatory study programs, which contain 8 different courses for this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Towards the end of year 1 you have to choose a specialisation. You can choose two different paths: Interpretation and Reinterpretation of Medieval Celtic Texts (literary studies) or Language Contact and Language Change in Celtic (linguistics). Every specialisation has its own selection of mandatory courses to follow in years 2 and 3. These courses are often offered every other year, that means that you will finish this specialisation in a span of two years, instead of the usual one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Alongside following a specialisation you may have to finish a minor, go on an exchange, or follow the other specialisation track. You also have to choose four elective courses, which you can plan at your leisure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During your studies you can study abroad for a semester or an entire academic year at a university in another country.
